Behind the Company
Meet the history, people, and values that shape how we work and why we exist
Our Story
Our journey began in 1889, in the town of Maidstone, England. George Foster Clark, then a young grocer, was inspired by the simple act of serving his community. Driven by curiosity, he began experimenting in his mother’s kitchen, blending ingredients with care until he created his first products: a sparkling lemonade and a smooth custard cream.
From those humble beginnings grew a business built on quality, innovation, and trust. What mattered to George then — delighting customers and creating food that brought people together — still matters to us today.
More than 130 years on, Foster Clark’s has grown from a family kitchen to a global presence. Yet the essence remains unchanged: a passion for excellence, and a belief that food has the power to create moments of happiness, one recipe at a time.
